Hey Guys; Any info on installing BB (454) in a 1965 Chevy SWB truck. Also any headers that will fit. Installing with a 400 auto. Truck came with a 283, 3 on a tree. So also info on type shifter. All info will be appreciated. Thanks!!! :confused:
Use 71-72 engine mounts/frame brackets, even 73-87 C10 will work w/some mods, use 67-72 C10 BBC headers, may need to massage the firewall. The 3 speed x-member will have to come out & a 63-87 auto tranny x-member used. Brian
hooker and headman offer headers for this set up. but its for 67 to 72. they still work, sandersons is another set up. the most important thing is match up on port size. trans mounting from a 70s truck works early classic is selling a good one. some work on engine placement will be needed. tim
