| | | | Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 19 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 19 | got the 50 running - but I have no clutch pedal- only resistance is the return spring ( removed the inspection cover and the fork an throwout bearing all move but i get nothing.
I don't even get any residual drag from the spining clutch- i can shift gears with the engine running pedal out and get no grinding - like the two are completely disconnected.
I've if a clutch slipped I;ve always had at least some drag
thoughts??

wouldn't that create a bunch of shrapnel?? there was nothing sitting in the inspection cover when i removed it.
just looking for some thoughts / insights before having to tear it all out. the SM420 w/ a PTO doesn't look particularly light.
does anyone have PT #'s for clutch / pressure plate / throw out bearing etc. for these??

I found a rat's nest in the pressure plate. didn't see a rat's nest in the clutch, but it backfired when i started it and blew a wasp nest up through the carb and then a mouse nest out the tailpipe when i got her running.
