I was thinking about retro-fitting a heater farther up under the dash, but seem to recall reading somewhere that it was necessary to keep the heater core at or lower than the water pump. Maybe to keep air out of the heater core? Any ideas?
Thanks | | | | | Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 | the water pump is where the heater water returns, the water from the engine is being pumped thru the core from the thermostat fitting where the water is hot, not much danger of air pockets until you shut off any inline fitting you may have, and as soon as you open that up it'd push the air out
