Hello everyone...need some advice when placing the door run channel with the clips that surround the inner door frame? (This is the channel that butts up to the ventilator inside the door frame for the main door window.) I saved the clips but it looks like these clips need to be "pressed into the new channel. Plus, Ive already scratched the paint...so whats the trick or do I just need to slow it down when placing this new run channel. Thanks for any help.

i don't know if i can offer any help but you certainly have my sympathy. in my 63 to 66 trucks the front window channel can come out with the windwing secion. so you could work on it off of the truck to save scratches. the back and top are a different story and i haven't done them, but i need to. this type of work isn't my favorite, good luck. hr

Thanks HR. Well I got these in...not really a big deal- I just needed to slow it down. Here are some suggestions for the next guy doing this. Slide the new channel in just the way it will sit inside the door putting it where the ventilaor arm location is notched out in the door, bottom first. Temporarily put it in place up to where it is notched out on the top of the door. Do not put the clips on yet. Once you've temp put this in place, put your ventilator window & main door glass window in and tighten the screws. Go back to your new channel & adjust accordingly so you can butt it up to the ventilator on the top of the door. Piece of cake...just slow it down on that new paint.
