Because of the design of the stock spindles and the way the stock brake hardware attaches to the spindle , there isn't anyway to make a dropped spindle that will accommodate the setup . The main problem is the large bolt ( used to anchor the upper end of the brake shoes )attaches the backing plate to the spindle .With the dropped spindle , the " axle shaft " is moved up to the same area that the " large bolt " occupies rendering the design unusable . Hope my description isn't too confusing ? So as long as the stock spindles are used , you'll have to stick with the drum brakes .
