How do I get my 53, 3600 3/4 ton rear to go faster then 45mph. Is there a place for ring and pinon gears, that have one to replace mine? Don't want to go the replacement of the rear, would be nice just to do the gears.

Do you know what your ratio is now?You can use the pumpkin from a 67-72 with 4.11 but you still won,t solve the whole problem & they are hard to find. How about a t-5 odrive trans. from a S-10?

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

I agree with Wrenchbender. The combination of the two is a good mix. I'm probably doing 2000 rpm's at 65mph, and was still able to pull out a small palm tree last weekend.
