Also, what are your plans, stock or modified? I do agree though, parts can be tricky, but personally I've managed reasonably well so far.
Try and post up some pics when you get the chance. Good Luck Jock. 1950 Chevy Advance Design 3100 in ScotlandIn the Stovebolt GalleryMore pix on Flickr. Unfortunately when we got it, it drove real bad..i mean bad. The steering box, ball joints had to be done, and being power steering had to get a box imported, which with shipping costa lotta bucks. Had to rebuild rear axle which is 57 chevy car, with mustang brakes!!!, working out what parts came from where has been the biggest headache. Will post you a picture or 2 when i work out how to do it
best wishes
Keith

It really helps when sourcing routine service stuff. There's a few vendors 'darn sarf' that can help. The import duty and VAT are the killer though.... It's also good the bodywork's in reasonable nick though, shipping any large panels would be horrendous! I just need a tailgate, front splash apron and a decent grill and i'm done with the bodywork side of things.(apart from a decent paint job!) This is supposed to be your welcome thread after all! Go-on get some pics posted, trust me mine didn't look anything like that before the importer threw large amounts of red oxide paint and I threw large amounts of cash at it. Shame though, It did have some nice original 'patina'. 1950 Chevy Advance Design 3100 in ScotlandIn the Stovebolt GalleryMore pix on Flickr.
