Well just started a frame off with a little help, well a lot of help from Dave at K.A.R.S. in Kitchener. Took six weeks off so I could keep the restore bill lower. Didn't help. Well hope to be driving it again this summer.

"And three people do it, three, can you imagine, three people walking in singin a bar of Alice's Restaurant and walking out. They may think it's an organization..."

They wont like me on the 401. I am also putting in a rebuilt full pressure '54 235 bolt bored 30 over out of a 52 car. Strange the car was bought at a aution and the engine was missing the rocker arms and pushrods. He only wanted the body but took the head off and discovered it was a brand new rebuilt.Snapped her up for 250. Still lots of work to go.

I think most of the J40s have dissolved now,and yes my truck will turn heads when it eventually hits the road.(This year I hope) A friend of mine is currently restoring two of these at the moment, they'll be worth a tad more than £15 when he's finished. Where abouts were you in Scotland? [/quote] 1950 Chevy Advance Design 3100 in ScotlandIn the Stovebolt GalleryMore pix on Flickr. I have been driving my 1949 1434 since June this year. Logged 4000 miles so far. Do you know if all 1434 came with the hoist? It is great. I'll post some picture if I ever figure how.
