hi guys

sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but i didn't know where ells to post

ive swapped out my original diff for a 37 sedan diff as its top leaf mounted and will allow me to lower the truck.

but i am now having a issue finding u bolts as the ones that were on the original diff were square end but the sedan requires round ended u bolts.

so my question is what is the standard length of the u bolts in a 37-38 Chevy 1ton ive measured up how long they need to be and have some out at approximately 8" (i would be more specific but i have issues with imperial measurements) due to the 14 leafs stacked on each other.

any help would be appreciated as i think the last owner might have jammed more leafs in screwing original measurements for me

thank you

jeff

Do you have a spring/axle repair shop in your area? Take your measurements that the ubolts need to be and they can make you up a set. A lot easier than trying to find a vintage set. Had some made for my 39 Truck and they were quite reasonable. Rick G.
