The heads are swappable between the engines. Only difference I've noticed is the location of the temp sending unit.
I believe the 292 exhaust manifolds in light duty trucks have the same 2 inch exhaust port as the 194-250 sixes. However the heavy duty truck 292s all had a 2 1/2 inch 3 bolt exhaust port. Again because the 194-250 sixes share the same intake/exhaust port patterns the 2 and 2 1/2 inch exhaust manifolds are interchangeable. But the larger exhaust will yield better airflow and therefore better performance.
