Can someone send me a picture of how their throttle cable links to the carb. 1952 chevrolet 3600.

Maybe someone will post a clear picture of the linkage. Do you have a 1952 engine? Your carburetor might not look the ones in the diagrams below but the linkages are the same.

There is a rod that goes straight down from the throttle-arm lever (3.759) near the base of the carburetor to a pivot-lever on a post on the side of the block (3.580). A rod goes from that pivot lever to the accelerator pedal. There is no cable (but, there is a spring, 4.459, attached to the "down-rod" and to a clip held by a pan-bolt as shown in the second diagram).
