I'm wondering what the torque should be on the rocker assembly. We pulled the 235 outa my dads 53 end removed the rocker assembly to lift from the head bolts, and now its time to go back on!! Also he has a project 47 burb with V8 that he bought vintage air for years ago, and we've come to the conclusion it'll be years before its done. So... we are gonna put the air in the 53 and we're wondering about a double pulley on the harmonic balencer. Any ideas on where to find one? | | | | | Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 394 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 394 | | | | | | Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 1,362 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 1,362 | Standard torque for a 3/8 bolt is 35 ftlbs, a 5/16 is 20.
Kicking self for selling off my Taskforce trucks. Still looking for an LCF or conventional big bolt in decent shape.
As of 10-26-2022, A 55.2 Taskforce long bed now the work begins
