For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 16 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 16 | I found a 41 with a one piece bed with roof. It has fenders but I don't think its a canopy express. Its solid steel top to bottom. Can anyone help me identify??? | | | | | Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 1,897 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 1,897 | | | | | | Joined: Nov 2000 Posts: 1,974 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2000 Posts: 1,974 | Maybe it's an after market or custom made "utility" bed, as used by phone company, electrician, contractor, etc. similar to this. ...maybe. I agree; we need pictures! ;>)

If you go to photo bucket look under 52 fanatic and the top left pic is it. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 | you mean this one - looks entirely home made Scott, definitely not factory Bill | | | | | Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,780 Master Gabster | | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,780 | Not factory? Could be an aftermarket specialty company. If you have access to the truck see if you can find a name plate on the back portion. If someone could use this, this would be an interesting truck to save. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 | not GM factory or "stock bed" as phrased in the original question, nor even remotely like a canopy express
Bill | | | | | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 16 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 16 | The strange thing is that it looks factory made because if you look inside you can see its almost a normal bed but flat on top instead of 45 degree and extended out. It has wood, stake pockets, and fenders but this was not pieced together. It came this way. No name but if I buy this truck it will be for sale. I will try and get more pics. Its just hard to get into this guys field. Took me awile to get permission the first time. | | | | | Joined: May 2004 Posts: 1,312 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2004 Posts: 1,312 | Looks like an early version of a crew cab / crummy logging guys used to use on west coast. Any sign of bench seating ? | | | | | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 16 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 16 | No bench seating. It has a stock tailgate though. I am stumped.
