I just bought a replacement gas pedal, but it doesn't have a hinge. The existing one in the truck looks like it came from a hardware store and is not original. Does anyone know if this part is available?

Grego 55 - It is available, but the correct pedal doesn't have a "hinge". The pedal actually has a small "pocket" at the botom of the back of the pedal that slips over the raised piece of metal rivited to the toe board of the truck. You slip it into the "pocket" and push the top of the pedal onto the ball at the end of the accelerator rod which comes through the toe board from the bell crank on the the side of the engine. It "rocks" back and forth as the pedal is moved up or down when pressed down to accelerate the truck.

This is the gas pedal tab on the floor.

The picture of the tab doesn't show it very well. The tab is spot welded to the floor. You say your tab is gone?
