The existing one in the truck looks like it came from a hardware store and is not original. The pedal actually has a small "pocket" at the botom of the back of the pedal that slips over the raised piece of metal rivited to the toe board of the truck. You slip it into the "pocket" and push the top of the pedal onto the ball at the end of the accelerator rod which comes through the toe board from the bell crank on the the side of the engine. It "rocks" back and forth as the pedal is moved up or down when pressed down to accelerate the truck.
