You might try checking the current topic on tie rods.

I guess it would be helpful to know what you are trying to achieve.

no need to reinvent the wheel, the HD tie rods are still in the system, check the vendors or NAPA, and the ends sold now are the modern type

omg..

I like to find things that work!..

Example,Example,Example...

If you take part#88219 to your local Autozone you can get a rear brake hose for your chevy p/u for $15, classic restore shops heaven knows..

My fathers 1960 Nash "original" Engine/trans & drive train is also found in Datsuns 1200 everything is a direct bolt up.

I used to own a jaguar Xtype that had a 2.5L engine,I wanted to upgrade to a bigger size engine..so i bought a wreck Ford Lincoln LS with a 3.0L removed and bolted it up with no mods & it fit like a charm.

Im not reinventing the wheel here, im just trying to see if anyone( like me ) hunt down things that works and can be reused or bought for another vehicle that fits another....

Im not bad mouthing no one here, i come here to learn just like everyone else..if you can save a buck thats the biggest tip ever!

sorry for the off topic examples...thats just what i have.

A 1960 Nash is called a "Rambler". Nash stopped making full-size cars in 1957. The 1960 Rambler engine is a 196 cubic inch flathead 6-cylinder, or the same displacement overhead valve engine, depending on whether we're talking about the "Rambler American" with the flathead, or the "Classic" With the OHV engine. I've got a 1960 American 2-door station wagon out behind the barn- - - - -come on over and take a look under the hood.

Can I have a little of whatever you're smoking?- - - - -It must be some really good stuff!

I suspect he's talkin of the "Nash" Metropolitan with the Austin 4 cyl that Nissan based their late 60's engine on, prolly pretty much bolt in either direction ....

Yep, the MGA 1500 and the early-60's Datsun "Fairlady" 2-seater sports car had interchangeable parts. The Metropolitan was built in Belgium, with a British Leyland engine and sheet metal that resembled an early 50's Nash. The original engine was 900 CC, later upgraded to 1200. I kept one of the ragged-azz little things running for a college buddy back in the late 60's. They had a nasty habit of the front suspension breaking off!

the Metropolitan was built in England by Austin with an Austin 1200cc "A40" engine - MG's used a BMC corporate "B" engine design ... Austin had a previous arrangement with Nissan which allowed them to use Austins engine patents to develop a number of very similar 4 cyl engines for Datsun

This thread went to pot in a hurry. Rather than spend 30 minutes cleaning it up, I'm locking it down.
