I want a stereo in the truck, but I don't want it to show. I will disguise or hide it, but I have looked now for what I would call a mini car stereo; one without a CD rom and one without all the bells and whistles. I want a plain basic AM FM stereo so I can listen while I go down the road.... but SMALL... you can buy tiny battery powered units to hang on your belt; do they make a small 12 volt car stereo that will drive basic car speakers? and if so, who makes it and where do I find one? I already spent an hour on Ebay and Amazon looking... anyone have a good idea? | | | | Joined: Aug 2010 Posts: 127 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2010 Posts: 127 | I've been looking for a similar thing, try a search for "secret audio SST", its a neat little unit, you can hide the main part, then you just have the display to mount, and you can hide that almost anywhere, and with its remote you don't have to even see or reach the hidden parts. They put these in skid loaders and such. | | | | Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 1,775 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 1,775 | There are some Marine radios that have a corded remote. You can mount the stereo wherever you want and then all you have to do is velcro your remote somewhere. | | |
