With any drop of that amount you'll probably have to do a tie rod "flip" so that the tie rod runs under the springs. With a drop of that amount bump steer is a common issue because the drag link is no longer level. There are several ways to get it level again, i.e., the drag link can be flipped on some models, the steering arms can be modified, etc.

Great guy. I highly recommend Sid's axles. Unless the steering arm/ drag link is parallel to the ground, you'll get bump steer. As long as all front end parts are new and in good shape, bump steer isn't that bad. Keeps you awake when your tired!

You might hit that bump as your travelling north (let's say) at 55 mph and instantly be put in the path of a southbound Freightliner. New shackles, bushings and pins wouldn't hurt either. If you have to heat the steering arm, make sure it's done by someone who knows what they are doing. If it's done wrong, it could lead to failure while your driving down the road. and that would be a bad thing!
