I posted a link to the pictures of it in the "Welcome Center". We put the truck in storage at the time and intended to work on it after our wedding. The first thing we did was tear down the original engine and take the block to the machine shop. We suspected it might have a crack and did it ever! After cleaning and checking, the shop found a 15" crack along the side of the block. Naturally, we were disappointed as that was the original engine and now it was not going to be usable. Thankfully, we got a second 1957 235 with the truck and we will use that. The next undertaking was the transmission. We tore it down and had it cleaned. We are just finishing up the assembly. So far so good with the transmission. At the same time, we took the carburetor apart and took it in only to find out it was unusable. We purchased another carburetor and just found out today that it is for a 216. Looks like we will be hunting for another carburetor!
