All the parts you need are obtainable, Petronix make the eletronic ignition I put it in my V-6. Check the pictures link to my albums below and you will see the modificaiton. I've changed the gears in the rear from 3.92 down to 3.23, Put on a Holleyy 2 barrel carb. petronix Ig, and am raring to go, I get 16-17 mpg at 65 or less and 12-14 mpg at 70+.
The engine parts can be found at EGGE or Kanter, yes it will cost a touch more but only for the pistons and rings the rest of the parts are pretty much the same as your local FLAPS (Favorite local auto part store).
Let me know if I can help.

I picked up some engine mounts on ebay from a custom street rod shop and modified them. You will need a new shifter unless yours is already auto. I put a racing trans cooler from b&m and I had to have the drive shaft modified. I moved my engine forward a little bit to make it easier to get at the hei. I had to modify my fan shroud because the engine was a little higher than it should have been. Once I got the engine and trans in, I leveled it out and made a simple channel cross member with a spacer to mount the back of the trans. Below is about what I paid for the things I needed and you should add maybe another $100-150 for mounts and other hardware you will need just to be safe. Every thing I bought was new. If you have a one piece drive shaft it will probably be cheaper to modify. You can do them your self but I left mine to the proffesionals. hope this helps
Mounts $60 Cooler $80 Drive shaft $280 Three speed shifter $50
