anyone got part #'s for a 57 Chevy 1/2 ton front wheel bearings(i would think 55-59 should be the same)..I really dont want to order the kits i see everywhere thats over priced IMHO.. when a simple part# at local parts store or bearing shop could pull a set for cheap.

or if other years works??

the price of the kit is about $20 more than the price of one bearing. You can get the roller kit on feebay for about $70. one outer bearing costs $50 each at the local parts houses.

Any quality auto parts source should be able to look it up. I lost an outer wheel bearing on a road trip in my 59 1/2 ton last month. I was able to get another from NAPA and continue on my trip about an hour later.

I show cost as $62.58 for National/BCA B52, $34.18 for National/BCA B67-not stocked @ too many locations.

I just read a older post of yours Quote:
numbers I can get from my local NAPA:

outer - Chicago Rawhide B67 [orig B01] / inner - SKF B52
or NAPA outer - PGBP B67 / inner - PGBP B52
front grease seal [inner] - CR 18772 [NAPA 49412]

if you can order off the net, try Rock Auto

I don't think the roller bearings are an advantage, some folks think they're better but these trucks have done fine with the ball bearings for many decades

Bill

but this was for a 49 Pick up, are they the same?? on the 57 chevy P/U??

the wheel bearings are the same car and truck for a long stretch, not sure exactly but likely 48 to at least 60-62 .... just like the interchangeable car/truck hubs
