For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 2 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 2 | I have a 51 GMC. I am getting ready to scrap a 81 grand prix. Was wondering if any parts from this car might be usable on my 51 GMC. Rear end -suspension - brakes - a arms - steering wheel etc? I'm planning that the 51 become a daily driver. Thank-you for any help!

The rear end could be difficult to use unless you are prepared to shave off all the 4-link hardware and mount spring perches. The front suspension is a touch ligher-duty than Camaro or Nova - on par with S-10 actually.
I would look into something heavier duty if the truck was going to be anything but a grocery-getter. | | |
