For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 9 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 9 | Hey all, i have a 36 1/2 that i am putting together.
It sat for a very long time but indoors so everything is there and in great shape! However all i have is a bill of sale on it!
There is no vin plate, and no title.. I know its not in the dmv system..
I am sure this is a common problem with cars and trucks from the 30s and older.. Things get lost over the years.
My question is what are my options? Is there another vin on the truck? How do i go about getting this truck up to date. I have gone to my local dmv and the lady looked at me like i was crazy. Anyway any help will be great
Thanks Erik

Do a site search with VIN in the search box. You'll find hours of reading. The short version is call your state licensing authority to find out how they handle the problem.

I had to sign up a month or more in advance and bring the truck in on a trailer. All that was needed was a bill of sale and normal history of the truck. You can start the paperwork ahead of time by going to the dmv--they have certain general forms to start the process. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 9 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 9 | | | |
