I am planning on putting disc brakes on our new acquisition a 60 Chevy stepside. Rather than replace the torsion suspension am considering modifying the A arms to accept later model spindles. I have seen the kits and don't want to spend the hi bucks. Does anyone know if the later model spindles will fit on the existing upper ball joints? I know I have to modify the lower A arms for new ball joints. I want to either go with the newer 6 bolt spindles or 5x5 truck spindles. Cost is a key factor. Thanks

you can get dropped spindles for your truck for around 230 dollars that will allow you to use 80s c10 disc brake parts,
