I rebuilt them both and I have also installed a mini HEI from Mr. Langdons. The truck fires and sounds good, it just won't continue running. Read as many posts as I could and they all said the float valve adjustment was very important. So I removed the carb tops to recheck and the forward carb float well was dry. The rear carb float well was full. Which is the correct and how do I fix which ever is the problem. Getting so close to running I can hardly wait.

You'll want to get the specs for whatever the original application for the carbs was to get a baseline for the correct float setting.

With the top of the carb off and the fuel line disconnected you should be able to blow into the carb fitting and hear air coming through the needle valve. Check to see that fuel is getting through the line to the front carb (leave it off and crank the engine a little, fuel should spurt out). | | |
