one can usually find away to make a steering wheel fit..
why not replace the steering column with a 59.

The stock wheel from my 55 fit perfectly on a 1997 Camaro column. I just removed the collar from the back of the wheel and lined the splines up. The center hub of my wheel is even the exact same diameter as the column.
