The first motor looks like a for sure upgrade from my smoky 230. Has any one had success with used engines this cheap? Thanks for any input.

The second motor looks like it has a cracked exhaust manifold.

The story is a nice read. I passed on both motors. I am still in the planning stage. I can get a 350 long block from NAPA for $1230 (3 year 100K warranty). For an extra 10% a no fault 100k warranty. decisions decisions

Those later year sixes are still common in the "cheap transportation' wantads and local junk yards and "u pull ems" at least you can shake someones hand before you buy.
