He said I don't need one, that only the gauge needs to be upped from 6 to 12.
Does this sound correct?

| | | | | Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 | yes ... the sender is just a variable resistor, voltage insensitive - if the 12v gauge has a much different resistance range than the 6v, then you'd need a sender with a matching range, or if not much different, live with a minor mental correction - likely won't be anything noticeable
