For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 150 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 150 | I'm working on cleaning my door window channels, rollers and manual crank. My question is what lube should I use for said parts. I know years ago my choice would have been white lithium grease, however in recent years I have not been pleased with it's results. It seems to "gum up" and not lubricate well, if at all. Any suggestions?

Go to NAPA and pick up a can of "CRC Heavy Duty Silicone multi use lubricant". It sprays on like carb cleaner but does a fantastic job on the window channels...NO FUSS NO MUSS NO SMEARS OR FUNK. It does not collect dust and dirt also. My new channels were so tight my power window motors were struggling and blowin fuses a good soak with this product and WHALLLA!...problem fixed!..and that has been 2 yrs. ago..NOW THIS PRODUCT IS TO BE USED AFTER PAINT!..IT IS SILICONE!
