Watched a guy at a salvage yard cut around OUTSIDE edge of glass and pop out the windshield in less than a minute. Don't damage glass!

If you can't fix it with a hammer and screwdriver, you need a bigger hammer.1965 Chevy C10 | | | | | Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 698 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 698 | I’d trim the rubber back with a razor knife leaving just enough to hold the glass in. Then I’d mask it and paint it. Let the paint cure. Then finish removing the rubber and glass. Then re-install with new rubber. This way you won’t get paint on your new rubber and you’ll have fresh paint up under the seal, plus your masking job will be a lot easier. Make sure you don’t catalyze all your paint; you may need a little for the metal that isn’t exposed (if it’s rusty).
