Starting with the April 2011 issue of "Rod and Custom", a guy named Christ Shelton is stating a series of articles. They are for newbies to electrical stuff on your ride. If you're new to all this electron flow stuff you might want to buy or at least review (at the grocery store while your wife shops) the articles. Just watch the typos as they can be a doozy. The sub title is "How to build...inexpensive voltage drops".

Heck on every connection you make you get a voltage drop for free. Normally you spend money to minimize this - this guy wants to teach you how to do voltage drop AND pay for it?

Now if he is talking about voltage dividers or reducers that may be a different thing.

Dan, You will have to take that issue up with Mr. Shelton. I did warn you about the typo's, now didn't I. Another curious thing is he uses the term of impedence for resistance as to what a resistor does in an electrical circuit. Most of us that blew fuses for a living, as I did, use the word impedence around non-DC circuits and inductors. I believe all that relly doesn't matter if it helps guys/gals new to electricity learn.
