Sup fellow bolters, got a quick question for yall.
What engine would a 1954 GMC water/fire truck have?
This truck is located at a recycling center near my house and it has a big water tank in the back and red emergency beacon lights on the roof. It also has Nu Vue corner windows but I couldnt find any more info on the truck.
I will try to post pix of it this weekend. Just wondering what engine it would have, its an line six. Looks original.Thanx

If its a 450 series, it would be a 302. If its a 630 series, it could be a 503. Is the distributor on the driver or passenger side?

I got a 1954 Chevrolet 1700 Canadian. It has a GMC 270 cu.in. inline 6. I don't know if the American model would be the same.
