| | | | Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 42 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 42 | Hi everyone,I havent posted much as i have been busy trying to finish my truck.My 57 came with steel wneels with 3 riveted spring clips to hold the hubcaps on,the caps were off a 54.I recently bought another set of 4 steel wheels but the hubcaps would be held on by three lugs pressed into the steel wheel.Which is correct for my 57 as I need to buy hubcaps and like the original 57 type and the cameo type but I need to know how they fix to the steel wheel thanks in advance Mark | | | | | Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 | the wheels with the clips were correct before 1960, the ones with the 'lumps' are newer style
55-60 had 3 clips, the earlier ones [car and truck] had 6 clips, and they'll also work for the correct hubcaps [which are the same for 57-60]
