In either case, both transmissions are easy to overhaul. You may need to find a mechanic more knowlegable with older vehicles to overhaul it.

There is also a WT265 which was used in the 64-65 Chevelle. They look very similar but none of the internal parts interchange. You can get parts from Anaheim Gear in Anaheim, CA for these transmissions, however they are pricy. I see these transmissions at swap meets all the time and they are relatively cheap. Fred
