A member suggested I post in this forum about my 1951 3800 Chevy pick-up truck. I am interested in selling and don't quite know what those key elements are that buyers look for. It's a pasture truck. I know its all original and was driven to where its sitting now about nine years ago. What is it buyers want to know? and Thanks

You will get more for it if you take the time to get it running, even if it's just enough to fire and die. Take lots of pictures, especially of the areas prone to rust, cab corners and the area where the front fenders bolt to the cab.

It may also be helpful to list some important options/equipment for these trucks.

Engine (original 216 or has it been retrofitted)?
Transmission (probably a 4-speed).
Interior-what type of heater, is the dash cut where the radio goes lots of them are and it can be and issue, overall interior conditon (missing items).
Exterior-rear fenders are pricey good ones are a premium, bed condition, boards, side mount spares or modifications etc.

The more original and more complete the more desireable it will be to most buyers. 1-tons have their own following and interest group.

If you get to fiddling around with it you might just decide to keep her for yourself:)

If you have a good bed - (The sides, aprons and running boards) those are very desirable and hard to come by

Hope someone (maybe you) gets here back tunning.
