I have a 61 4x4 which i bought from the secound owner, first owner was his father in law. I would like to know what axles would be under this truck. Would also like to know if it would be possible to convert to disc brakes? Thanks

The axle you have is not able to accept a disc brake conversion due to the ball and knuckle design.I have discs but I have 72 axles .Do you have any pictures ? If so please send them my way.I haven't found any 61 Suburban 4wd's on this forum or any other forum .

In the works 2006 GEN III 6.0 /4L80E/ 205 New process,A/C and power brakes .
