The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Paint and Body Shop Doors 1950 Chevy Doors

After a nearly 2 year absence I'm back working on my '50 AD frame off project. Can't do much when there's no employment and funding is unavailable. I'm finally ready to start rolling again.

The truck is painted and I'm beginning to assemble the door guts. Problem is that I can't remember exactly how to install the window regulator (position) and the glass. Also, the felt lined channel that fastens into the window frame and the door latch assembly is a distant memory. Does anyone have some pics that I could look at? I took over 300 pics during this restoration but didn't do such a good job on the doors. Live and learn. Thanks for the assistance.

Oilrag: Thanks a bunch! This helps. If anyone has a series of pics starting with the bare bones door and building up the door thru the finished process it would be great. And if you can show what spacers hold the screws on the door strikers it would be excellent.

I can't believe how much one forgets in a couple of years. I hate to see what my memory will be like when I get old! And the pics I took when disassembling the truck are terrible.

This front track is what I need for my drivers door. Now I need to work on getting the old one out and finding the track. I know the left and rights are different. Is the front track the same as the rear on the other side?
