I’m leaning toward a plastic or fiberglass replica. My truck is “almost stock” and I would like the headliner to look stock.
I can recall way back trying to put a cardboard headliner in something and having a bad experience with that, so I’m shying away from that material.
Is there any experience out there either with a supplier or with installation??

I would recommend this type over the cardboard. We distroyed a cardboard one on our first attempt. Even with the fiberglass one it's a pain in the butt. You'll need at least two people to have enough hands to get it installed. Three people would be better. If I remenber he had a gorgeous Art Deco that I always admired. I'd do a search for him. It may turn up some info. Steppenwood, another bolter had a vinyl/fabric install I liked that I may try to copy. How many different parts in that 41 now? Thanks for the tips. I now have parts from “bolters” in 27 states.
I’ll search for Don’s (downtosea) information.

What did you end up with on your headliner? Tried installing my fiberglass unit this weekend, no way to do single handedly, gave up and had a cocktail after a long string of very naughty words. Feel like I'm close but certainly need some help, I'm likely to just hand it to the upholstery shop and say "here, you do it".
