Ok,

Upon email GM directly, they say they don't have the info I am looking for. I will take anything I can get but I was really looking for production numbers for each model of chevy truck during each year. Ex. Number of 3100, 3600, 3800 etc for year 1951 or basically from 47-55.1
For both GMC and Chevy. I am definitely interested in production numbers for big bolts too, GMC and Chevy. I have searched quite a bit and can't find any numbers. I am wondering if some older GM worker or someone whom is still around might have the info.

OK,

Here are 1950 production numbers for each Chevrolet truck model.

This is the only set of annual numbers that I have seen for Advance-Design years. GM probably produced this type of document each year. Finding them in the GM archives or for sale might be difficult.

Total truck production number for each A-D year (except for 1955-1st) are available but may not be reliable (I have seen two different sets of figures for the one year, 1950).

here's a range of info about AD years, including Canadian production ... and here's numbers pre-48 ... I've seen a site with more AD years but can't recall where now, maybe Tims?

I heard sometime ago GM had a fire in a plant where they lost a bunch of archived material, but I also think they didn't keep very good records of production breakdowns beyond "light/heavy" before the 60's

tim,

those numbers seem really interesting, but really hard to read.

Is that all you have? Just 1950?

I have the same document as Tim displayed, for 1953.

Tim, I can scan and forward to you if you would like to post it on your website, or I can load it to my Picassa account whichever you prefer.

FB,

There was a problem in the domain name servers at the hosting company. It should be OK now (you might have to reload/refresh the page in your browser).
