I have a '54 GMC with a Chevy engine in it. I just received a "new" radiator support and I figured out why the PO torched the bottom off the old support. The radiator thats in the truck wouldn't clear the bottom of the support. This is a 235 in a '54. The radiator appears too tall(total height appx 29")? If I buy a new radiator, (it has to fit in front of the support) what should I get? I need to be sure the new water line (to the block) won't hit the fan.

Also, how do you visually tell the difference between a 235 and 261?

Thanks for any help.

Thanks, Doc. Can someone here give me the total height of their radiator?

Thanks.
