Christmas parades were MEANT for old firebolts!
Last one I did, I went to the local cheapy mart and bought about 10 christmas stockings, hung five on each side from the ladders and the hard suction.
I stuck a small, not-too-noisey gas generator in one of the (vented) compartments, and ran christmas lights to a small tree I mounted on top.
And of course, garland all around. Put a couple of riders in Santa Hats and hang 'em on the tailboard. Good Times!

I stepped in when some scumbags stole the '52 3100 that was being built for the kids. Some pics are on my site (click on 'Ol Blue link). | | | | | Joined: Nov 1995 Posts: 5,732 24601 | | 24601 Joined: Nov 1995 Posts: 5,732 |

In our daughter's neighborhood, the Leonardtown VFD brought Santa around with several trucks, several meat wagons and all of 'em running code 3 -- sounded like Armageddon. The kids loved it.
In Stovebolt VFD News, Tanker 51 gets its newly upgraded electronic distributor today! Just talked to Billy C and he said it was finally ready. So Tanker 51 may be back in service by the end of the day!
