I think I read that the cabs are basically the same on the big bolts and smaller trucks and of course want to know if i order the window glass and frames if it will fit right in the 1.5 ton doors...

Yes, the cab is the same from the Fire wall back, from 1/2-tons to 2-Tons.
Anything in front of the fire wall, below the cab and behind the cab will be different.

They have glass and/or templates to take to a local glass company to have them cut. Flat glass is easy to cut. Make absolutly sure all the window guides and seals are in good shape. Make sure all the rubber bumpers are in the door. The latch should be in very good shape and adjusted properly. No Slamming the door!
I always roll the window all the way closed so the glass is supported when shutting the door. Good Luck!
