1940 chevrolet suburban has no vin tag not original motor . Is there a vin # stamped anywhere else. Used the search found nothing on 1940 .
What year did they start to stamp frames?

No data plate on the cowl and no engine number = no numbers at all. No "secret" numbers stamped on the frame of a '40. Can you track down any old paper work from a previous owner that would have a number on it?
