I spent this morning replacing the swing bearing and u joints on the 1966 C10. It wasnt too bad. Then I started trouble shooting the blower fan for my heater. Seems the electric motor will need to be replaced, seems the heater core is fine. Next will be trouble shooting the windshield wiper motor. I suspect it will need to be replaced as well.
I took the old girl for a spin to see how I did on the driveline work. Smooth, no vibrations. Man I love driving this truck...

I keep forgetting to post pics, sorry. I have so much to do, but I am trying to focus on getting her streetable. The truck has sat for so long and is in pretty rough shape. I have got the truck tagged and titled but I still need to fix the turn signals and windshield wipers. I have already fixed the tail lights, turn signals, horn and headlights.
I have purchased a parts truck so I can start prepping and priming body panels. My hood is pretty well shot. The doors are rusted out badly on the inside. Will also need some work on the floor pans. Oh well, just one step at a time.

These old truck's are great for us old timers. Beat's hanging out in the bar's or casino's or playing bingo with the old ladies at the senior center.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

I have something to show for the money I spend.

Makes the wife happy I don't run around with the boys.
