I recently acquired a truck with the air pump seats. Does anyone know where parts are available to repair and restore? So far I have been unsuccessful in trying to find any information.

Can you post a link to photos? This sounds interesting.

I looks like you are referring to a 1955 2nd series Chevrolet truck? Most likely a pickup truck?

remohbill - sounds like you have what's on the options list as "Air-Matic Seat", also shown in the assembly manual as RPO 269 "Air Cushion Seat" - you'll find some of the construction details in the assembly manual, but that's about it, you won't find any parts available, I'd think they were mostly used in the big trucks [I saw one in a 56 5ton], likely beat to death long ago wink

and yeah, a picture would be really interesting, we can never get enough pictures!

I don't know how similar they are, but most all the big rigs have air ride seats. Might be able to find something at a truck scrapper yard?
