I have a puller but am having problems getting the bolts that the puller pulls against started. Should these bolts be 3/8 or 5/16. This is on the original engine of a 55 3100. Any other general advice about replacing the pulley once I get the balancer off would be helpful. I think it is riveted on. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 | Hy remohbill, I think the puller bolt holes are 3/8" N.F. if I'm remembering correctly. I've never replaced a rivited on balancer pulley, so I can't comment on that. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 35 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 35 | This job required 3/8 bolts, the holes were really full of gunk. Turns out the pulley was ok after all. | | |
