Found a nice set of 17" artillery wheels for a good price. My 38 has 16" wheels, which means new tires and tubes if I decide to buy the wheels. Add in sandblast and paint, mount and balance - you get the picture!! My question is on tires. I can probably get close to factory diameter with both radial and bias ply, but considering the artillery wheels are very narrow, which do you think would work the best?

I'd be suprised if you could find radials to fit 17" wheels that would work. I'd stick with bias ply tires if you want to use those vintage wheels.

Definitely Bias Ply.
