I bought, several years ago, what I thought was a spare set of 54-55.1 grille guard braces, mainly on the off chance I might run across an incomplete grille guard for sale. I already had a complete NOS 54-55.1 grille guard, in the original box. For some reason, the seller being a guy that I've had positive dealings with for years, I didn't bother to check them against what I already had. Three years later (or so) I listed these spares here in the swap meet, and one interested party tells me the braces aren't the ones he's looking for... Hmmm... Finally it dawns on me to check them against the ones I have the original box. They dont' match. Ok, so, I figure at this point it's just as much my fault as the seller, just because I didn't bother to check when I had the chance. So, I'd really appreciate any help from you guys that eat breathe and sleep these accessories. Any idea what these are? here is a link to my webshots album of them. Three things are certain. They are NOS, and they are grille guard braces, and grille guard braces are hard to find when you need them. So, if I can put them on ebay with an accurate description... Someone will get what they need, and I'll get some money back. Thanks in advance for any help!

That was a good idea, Tim... Based on what I just looked at in the installation manual, i can't see them being for that application... There is a pretty good side profile of the way the bends are on page 37 for the brush guard, and I can't seem to make these braces take on that profile.
