Does someone have a supplier and pn of an air filter that will fit the round filter housing (not oil bath) for a 216/ 235?

Here is the housing:

The original was like a steel wool/rats nest type of material.

Would like to use a paper filter, but want something that wont be too restrictive since it is a pretty small filter.

Do you know the filter dimensions needed (diameter, height)?

Jim Carter has the replacement element.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

Was hoping for something I could pick up at Fleet Farm.

Looks like its a 6" according to Jim's. They want 16.95 plus shipping/handling.

Dont know on height, would have to measure my housing to see what would fit under it.

Take it into the parts store with you. With all the hundreds of filters they have, I bet one of them will work.

Tried putting the filter on my 235 and the carb inlet is larger than the 216.

Anyone know what the air filter housing looks like for a 58 235?
