Thanks for the kind words. As far as what is next? I really need to finish my 1915 Model T speedster. I have been working on it for about 25 years and it is so close that I really should be driving it this spring.... That is of course after I finish up the few things left on the 46! The build thread.

Just need to finish up some sheet metal work and interior work. All the mechanical stuff is completish.

After that I want to build a 4 seat sand rail that looks like the 60's Formula Vee that I used to race. Think sand rail with a body that looks like a formula vee.. That will have to wait for next winter.

Made its first deliver as a "new" truck today...

Looks great Randy. I am sure your "new" truck is great advertisement as even non-truck people will notice a fine looking deco truck.

The truck has been doing great. Making deliveries and looking good. I took my 8 year old son out today for about a 100 mile round trip to pick up the original title to me 1940 GMC 2-ton and a run to the hardware store to pick up some concrete. It was a good time. It is amazing how getting him in something old with no creature comforts brings out a side in him that I wish I saw more often. He was looking out the window. Seeing things. Asking questions. It was almost magical.....

We had to put our dog of 12 years down yesterday and it hit him really hard. I purposely drove the 46 so he would not have much to do and we could talk. I even went 40 miles out of the way to get the concrete to make the tombstone for our dog Franklin so he could have some time to think about what we should write in the concrete as it was sitting up. I was amazed at how he had changed by the end of the day.

Old trucks are a really good therapy in more ways than one!

Sorry to hear about the pup. It's like losing a family member. One that you like. Good idea to keep the boy involved. It is a part of life.
